Mural Rededication
In January we had the Rededication of Mural
Mural painters past and present were on hand for the rededication of the mural on
the north wall of Ace Hardware in the Island Shopping Center January 14. Peggy Potter,
on the right, took part in the original painting in 1994, and gave those
attending some mural history.
This time around the painters were, from the left, Kathy Sparks, Jo Anne Curtain,
Joan Voyles and Midge Pippel. Not pictured but still involved were Larry Pippel, Carolyn
Campeau and Jan VanTassell. The paints were donated by Tony Caminiti, owner of the Hardware
Store. Also, a big 'thank you' to Bonner Joy of 'The Islander' for providing dedication
plaques for the mural.
Florida Maritime Museum
