About the Artist:

Teresa CarlsonTerry De Avilla Carlson holds a Bachelors Degree in Art from Newton College of the Sacred Heart and a Masters Degree in Sculpture from La Villa Schifanoia, an international school for the arts in Florence, Italy.

As a child she studied painting at the children's summer programs at The Boston Museum of Fine Arts where she fell in love with the French Impressionist. Since then she has also been influenced by the watercolors of Winslow Homer and the realism of Andrew Wyeth. She continues to take workshops to improve her skills.

Her artistic intent is to capture the beauty of nature in landscapes and floralscapes, mostly working in pastel, she is also skilled in pen &ink and watercolor.

She has been showing her works since the 1970's, is accepted into juried shows and has won awards for her work.

She is a member of The Bridgton Art Guild, Bridgton, Maine and The Anna Maria Art Guild, Holmes Beach, Florida.
