April Featured Artist - Phil Jensen
Award winning photographer Phil Jensen is the Artist of the month for April. A reception will be held Friday, April 10,
from 5:30 - 7:30PM at the Artists' Guild Gallery, 5414 Marina Drive in Holmes Beach. After graduating from Purdue University with a
metallurgical Engineering Degree, a tour as a Line Officer in the Navy and 30, plus years in the insurance business, a lifetime
avocation with photography became a vocation in 1990. For the past 25 years he has specialized in nature, wildlife, marine and
history. He has travelled extensively throughout the USA, and the Caribbean taking pictures to add to his collection as well as
taking pictures for a log home developer in North Carolina, a state park in Hammond, Oregon, and the US Department of the
Interior/National Park Service, Harpers Ferry, WV, plus numerous other clients. He has published two coffee table books Natural Florida
and Western North Carolina and his images have been published in advertisements & featured articles in magazines such as
Log Home Living, DuPont Registry of Fine Homes, Tuscan, a wine magazine plus many more his work is also
represented in www.fineartamerica.com and www.photographersdirect.com.

Island Arts and Culture Community donated
to Save our Community Center - June 24th, 2014
Presentation of checks from Ed Chiles and Food and Wine on Pine, 2014 to the island non-profits:
AMICCO, AMICC, Artists' Guild, Rotary, Cultural Connections and the Historical Society
Food and Wine on Pine donates a portion of the proceeds from the event to island non-profits. This year the
non-profits that benefited from the generosity of the Chiles Group decided to help one of their
own and donate all of those checks to the Anna Maria Island Community Center. Pictured above are:
