April Reception
Florida native Kathleen Masur will be the Featured Artist for the Month of April at the Guild Gallery. She is pictured
in front of some of her pieces. Examples of her work will be in the window of the Gallery all of April. An Artist's reception
will take place Friday, April 13, in the Gallery, located in the Island Shopping Center at
5414 Marina Drive in Holmes Beach. From 5:30 - 7:30 PM, Kathleen will be there to speak about her work.
Masur began as a watercolorist and still does paint, but she has lately chosen to focus more on silk painting, creating pillows,
scarves and purses with brilliant and vibrant colors. The floral and animal designs reflect her interest in nature and wildlife.
As well as showing in the Guild Gallery, her work can be seen at the Longboat Key Art Center and the Associated Artists of
Butler County in Pennsylvania where she spends her summers.
